see my latest effort using a 50 ft mast:

www.threesixtytours.co.uk/18th_2.swf

my flash player sometimes loads the pano zoomed in and I have to use the CTRL to zoom out - any ideas why? I use Pano2VR to generate the swf file....

Generally it's a very good result and gives a nice overview of the golf course. There are some stitching/blending problems to the right of the sun, though, and a mysterious short line well above the trees. Or maybe somebody's doing a spot of javlin throwing?

The power lines are obviously a feature of the course. Some might consider it dishonest to erase all trace of them (and the pylon). However, Having taken the decision to remove the lines, then you should take care to remove them completely. Leaving them in seems the easier option.

This is good stuff Gus, both in the before and PS after!

Aerial panos I think are alwasy interesting to look atlook over conventional because of the technical challenges they bring. Look very forward to seeing any aerial panos providing a unique perspective to the viewer.

Especially like those done from R/C Helicopters - AZ ChopperCam & Tabb Firchau(?) used to post their recent works but nothing recently sad

As someone who does still mast photography, seeing complete 360 pano's from this elevation is interesting stuff.

Tried it whilst on assignment last week with a trial copy of AutoPano Pro. Impressed with the final stitched pano but no where near this quality. Very impressed with APP as well!

Be interested to see some photo's of the equipment used to see how you accomplish this cool pano.
