HDR techniques?

Hi All,
I am currently looking into the processes of creating HDR panoramas and am have a bit of trouble with the steps I should be taking. Setup is Nikon D50, 10.5mm lens on NN2 head, PTGUI, Photomatix and Photoshop.
Do I produce 3 pano's at the different exposures first and then merg to HDR or merg the individual images to HDR before stitching? If I merg the individual images first PTGUI can not get the lens details from the EXIF file.
Thanks in advance Brent

The lens details are always going to be the same so you can either save them to the lens database and apply them when needed or use a previous project as a template file (File->Apply Template).

I have found that merging the pictures first seems to give the best results.
If you merge the panoramas Photomatrix can give errors in the Nadar (or that my experiance)...

I shoot three pictures per section, merge & HDR in Photmatix, I've found Photoshop CS2's doesn't always work, then stitch etc.

I also have found that the best procedure is. load and merge in photomatrix, the ptgui. just load you camera profile and you will be ok, remember the image is now modified and doesnt store the lens details so it doesnt load automatically with ptgui after it is HDR merged.
Also, I will write a tutorial on removing ghosting people in photoshop if there is a demand for this let me know

Hey thanks for asking such a great question, I was wondering what peoples workflow was myself
What if I wanted to create an HDRI panorama for 3d lighting and rendering purposes? This would entail that the high dynamic range is not tone mapped as to preserve this range, so in that case, what workflow should I use?
