I want a 360 precision... how do I order one? Sent Matthew an email, then he replied recommending the "Absolute". When I emailed him back to confirm a few more things before placing the order... no reply... since 22nd Nov 2006...
Can anybody contact him?
My configuration request is as follows: Nikon D200 with vertical Grip Need Quick release as cam is also for normal photo shoot Need both Sigma 8mm and Nikon 10.5mm mounts Add an additional -15 degree tilt down for the 10.5mm

I emailed... no new reply and I've yet to get a price quote. Tried Skype and MSN but I never see anyone online. Maybe cos I'm in Singapore, the other side of the earth.
Is there anybody besides Matthew??? There must be some other person handling sales right?

It's obvious of course that you have to use UK standard work time which would be something like 5-12.00 PM Singapore time
And we do not work in Weekends usually in Europe.
Also remember to check your email spamfilters. And to use the right contact email on the page which would be the Customer Service one.

You should also check out this and other forums for user comments on the precision of the *precision* and 360Precision customer support. You may better off with a far less expensive doorstop and an automatic stitcher like Autopano, Easypano, PTGui, etc.

weird,
I ordered mine last month and had no problem. Matthew replied fast all the time, I suggest also to check your spam filter and junk Email container, just in case!

You should check your facts before opening your big mouth. In the next month or so we'll surpass 1,000 customers. Out of those customers maybe 10-15 have had issues. That's a customer satisfaction percentage of 98.5% far higher than most companies.
It really p's me off when people with no life make ridiculous broad sweeping statements.
If every customer posted on this forum every-time we answered an email within an hour or finalized and shipped a head same day this forum would be unusable.
But people have far better things to do like shoot and produce awesome panoramas.
The other issue selling online is people expect INSTANT replies and also expect tech support to be online 24 hours per day. This is simply unrealistic and anyone that doesn't realise this needs a wake-up call. Stuart and I have lives outside of 360Precision but we do try to be available at least 12-16 hours per day.
I've lost count of the number of panoramas I've shot or stitched for customers that autopano or PTGui wouldn't stitch. Just this week I've been working on a large job stitching a hundred or so panos for a customer. Just as an experiment I tried PTGui Auto Align and it stitched roughly 35%, the other 65% would have to have been manually stitched. But using a template I was able to get 90-95% of the panos perfectly stitched with practically zero effort.
If you've never seen or used 360Precision head then you have no place in commenting, simple.

LIke Hans said, when are you online ? I'm on MSN at least 6-10 hours per day and iChat around the same amount of time.
Why must there be someone else handling sales ? 360Precision isn't Nikon, we're a small company producing a product for a niche market.
Now to your emails, I normally don't get involved in banter like this but enough is enough.
Lets get the facts straight:
1. You first enquired about the 360Precision head on the 8th of October 2005 and your email was replied to same day.
2. On the 25th of February at 3am GMT you emailed tech support telling us that you going to buy a D200/10.5 in 2-3 months and also asked if we supplied templates for customers. Your enquiry was answered at 9:37am. I have no idea why you emailed tech support as we clearly state on our website that tech support is for existing customers only but hey, your question was answered.
3. On the 4th of June at 3:57am GMT you emailed me letting me know that you'd seen a 360Precision in action but had one concern. You wanted to know if the head could be altered to shoot at +45º. I replied at 8:54am GMT letting you know that we could customise the camera arm to shoot at any increments you specified. And told you that D70/12-24 for example has slots at ±15, ±30, ±45, ±60, ±75, ±90 and 0.
4. On the 16th of November at 4:58am GMT you emailed me personally telling me that you noticed that we now had two models. You asked me which model was the most "idiot-proof". I replied on the 17th at 6:43am GTM telling you that the Absolute suited your needs the best. I also requested the details needed to finalise the order.
5. On the 22nd of November you replied letting us know that you were going to purchase a 360Precision Absolute in January at the start of the new financial year. You specified the custom slots for the camera arm, model of camera and lens and contact details etc.
As I'd previously answered all the questions you asked I saw no need to reply to the email. So I have no idea what you were expecting me to do. If you go into a camera store to let them know that you'll be back in a month to buy a camera what do you think they'll do ? Nothing. They wait for your return and happily sell you the camera.
6. Then on the 5th of December at 14:21pm GMT you emailed me four identical emails with HUGE text asking me when I was going to reply. At 16:11 pm I replied telling you that I'd received your emails and to not send multiple emails at the same time as the spam server simply blocks them and I may not get to read them.
So on average your emails were answered in around 9-10 hours. And what does it say at the bottom of our auto replies ? It says that emails will be anwered within 24-48 hours. It rarely ever takes us between 24-48 hours but it does sometimes.
I don't know what more you expect but I think you're being extremely unfair by posting to this forum.

Well it gets to a point where enough is enough and you have to stand up for yourself. I won't appologise for that.
