Tutorial and files to embed panoramas in Google Earth
Posted: 16 Jan 2007 at 15:19 GMT

Thought people would be interested in seeing examples and a tutorial ive written on placing panoramas inside Google Earth.

The images above show the Tate Modern London with a panorama embedded within it - so you can fly inside.

Google Earth is not the best solution (I know so hope i dont get flamed for making it ) but its quite neat.. anyway the files and tutorial can be found at

www.digitalurban.blogspot.com

If you create one i would love to know so i can keep a list of all the locations..

Cheers

Is this posting closed that there are no replies?

I created 4 of them and want to create more over time because I find this a bloody good feature in GE.

What I haven't figured out from the tutorial though is how to convince GE to list the KMZ file at the respective location as it does list geotagged photos.

I believe at the moment panoramas can only be viewed when the user has a link to a KMZ file but GE does not automatically list KMZ files found on Earth Browsing or another website.

If I geotag the pano JPG and keep it on Panoramio GE unfortunately lists and shows the file as a normal photo.
