Images preload without using java script/removing right click branding in flash tours
Posted: 16 May 2008 at 1:48 GMT
Hello people,
I was a bit tired of waiting for the next panorama to download, every time it has to show in a tour, so I googled a bit and found a way to preload the images without the use of java script here: perishablepress.com/press/2007/07/22/css-throwdow...
See a customized example without separate css file here www.vamos360.com/temp/pedro-boat/levanto%2038/
and here www.vamos360.com/temp/pedro-boat/levanto%2044/
Rightclick next to the applet to see the source.

Also note that if you right-click on the flash applet, you will not see any branding except the standard flash player message. You can do this by adding the line
"menu", "false"
to your flash variables.

Unfortunatelly it does not work in all browsers. None of your panoramas does cache at all. in Safari.

I done several Demo pages using standard javascript preloading for FPP which works fine.

Thank you for checking Hans.
Would you be so kind to check again in Safari? I just did a validation check and removed some errors in both documents blush
